Audience measurement

TheCycleSpecs uses Matomo, a self-hosted analytics solution running on our own servers: no browsing data is sent to a third party. Matomo is configured in a privacy-friendly way: without cookies and with IP address anonymisation (2 bytes masked). No directly identifying data is recorded. This configuration exempts us from obtaining your consent, in line with the recommendations of the French data protection authority (CNIL).

The aggregated statistics (page views, referrers, device type) are used solely to improve the site. TheCycleSpecs currently offers no contact form, user account or newsletter, and therefore collects no other personal data.

Technical data (server logs)

Like any website, the hosting provider may automatically record connection logs (IP address, date and time, pages viewed, browser type) for security, proper operation and technical statistics. This data is kept for a limited period and is not used for commercial purposes.
